  • Floating, also known as sensory deprivation, allows you to enter a deep state of relaxation as you float in 12 inches of skin-temperature water saturated with over 1,000 lbs of Epsom salt. The salt makes the body buoyant, creating a total sense of weightlessness.

  • he water in a float pod is very clean and sanitary. It is filtered several times between each user and treated with hydrogen peroxide, UV light and ozone. The high concentration of salt also makes the water inhospitable to bacteria and other microorganisms

  • Most people can float and enjoy the benefits of float therapy. However, there are some conditions that may prevent or limit floating, such as uncontrolled seizures, infectious diseases, open wounds, kidney disease or intoxication. People with high or low blood pressure, medical implants, tubes in their ears or pregnant women should consult their physician before floating.

  • Everything you need such as towels, washcloths, robes, earplugs, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and spa/shower shoes, combs, hair dryer, straightener, curling iron, hair ties, makeup and disposable makeup tools will be provided by Levitate Float Spa. You may choose to bring your own personal items such as your preferred makeup, brush and contact lens case to use in the designated “pamper room”.

  • Floating nude is recommended for best experience! However, if you are more comfortable floating in a bathing suit or swim trunks, that is fine too!

  • During your first float session, you can expect to feel relaxed, calm and refreshed. You will be asked to come 15 minutes prior to your scheduled float so you can receive proper orientation. You will be guided by staff at Levitate Float Spa how to use the pod and its features such as lights and music, having full control over the level of sensory input you want during your session. You will shower before and after your float session and have access to the waiting room where you can relax and enjoy tea, coffee or water after your float.
